Today’s post is going to be half beauty and half home. Today I am so excited to share with you my favorite Bath & Body Works products! Who doesn’t love Bath & Body Works?! That place is freaking amazing. First, they have stores everywhere, the workers there are soooo friendly, they always have awesome sales and most importantly their products are AMAZING!
It was really hard to shave down my list to these few since there are so many other great products that they have. These are just the products that have worked for me and that I always end up repurchasing.
Shea Cashmere Hand Cream $12.50 – As most of you already know, my hands get super dry especially during the fall/winter seasons. This product is a lifesaver. First off, this product smells amazing and it isn’t too strong. It has a very delightful smell. The product is small enough to fit in your purse so you already know this product goes everywhere with me. Best thing about this product is that it keeps my hands hydrated and feeling super soft. I love this product so much that it even made it on one of my past Monthly Favorites posts.
Fine Fragrance Mist $14 – Who doesn’t want to smell good? This product is perfect for those who want to have the perfect scent on them, but don’t want something heavy like perfume. I keep one of these on my bathroom counter, in my car and in my gym bag. I like to sprint a few sprays on me before I go to work and I love having one in my car at all times for when I just need a refresher. This product also has a permanent home in my gym bag for when I am feeling yucky after working out. There are so many different scents available that everyone is sure to find their favorite. My favorites ones are Twilight Woods, Japanese Cherry Blossom and Paris Armour.
3-Wick Candle $20 – I LOOOOVEEEE these candles. They retail for $20, but they always have sales where you can get these 2 for $20. Awesome right? These candles burn anywhere from 25-40 hours. They smell amazing and they will really fill your house up with great aroma. They have a ton of different scents and they always have new ones. Every season they come out with seasonal scents. You must try these!
Gentle Foaming Hand Soap $5.50 – I have a surplus of these at my house. They always have a sale where you can get these for 5 for $15 or 7 for $20. Whenever they have this sale I stock up. These soaps are perfect for the bathroom and the kitchen. I love how they have their staple scents like Cucumber Melon, Seabreeze Cotton, etc.- these are perfect for the bathroom and then they have scents like Kitchen Lemon, Apple, etc.- I love these for the kitchen. And don’t forget they also come out with seasonal scents like Creamy Pumpkin and Winter. These are perfect to get your household more in tune with the season. Looovvee these!
PocketBac Sanitizing Hand Gel $1.75 – These are great for your inner OCD. I really don’t know what I would do without hand sanitizer. Sometimes it just gives my peace of mind that I can sanitize whenever I please. I keep one of these in my purse and in my car. It is great for when I am on the go. It is also perfect if you have kids. You know they stick their hands in everything possible…so what a better way to instantly disinfect germs than hand sanitizer. The PocketBac are perfect size so you can really fit them in anywhere, even if you carry a small purse. I love that these comes in so many different scents and you can also buy one of those super cute holders!
Body Lotion $12.50 – You can’t make a favorites list without including Bath & Body Works most beloved product- their body lotion. This is the product that first made me fall in love with Bath & Body Works. My grandma bought me one of these lotions when I was in high school and I swear, it changed my life. I looovee these lotions. They smell magnificent, the packaging is super cute and they are perfectly priced.
This list was very hard to compile. Bath & Body Works have sooooo many other products that are amazing and they also have a lot of products that I have yet to try.
I would love to hear what your favorite Bath & Body Works products are!

Ugh. Absolutely hate when I have breakouts. Crazy thing is that as a teenager I didn’t really have a lot of acne issues, but as an adult I tend to have breakouts more often. I am pretty sure that most of my breakouts are caused from lack of sleep and/or stress. But I swear these bad boys always pop up at the most inconvenient times- when I have an event or party to go to. Go figure right?!
Well, that is why acne spot treatments are available. Most of these products will help to get rid of your acne as fast as possible. Everyone’s skin is different so you really must try one out to see if it will work for you. I apologize in advanced that most of these products are high end. I will do drugstore version of this list, but I will need to try some out first.
So without further ado…
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion $17 – This stuff is freaking AMAZING. This is one of the first acne spot treatments that I have tried and yes it works! This product promises to shrink whiteheads overnight while you sleep! This product is a little different in that you should not shake the bottle; you are only supposed to apply the pink part of the product on the skin. I think a qu-tip is best for applying this product. This product is great for all skin types and I recommend trying this product first if you are in the market for an acne spot treatment.
Murad Acne Spot Treatment $18 – Murad carries great products. This one is no exception. It is made without sulfates and phthalates. This product works great at clearing up blemishes. You are supposed to use this product right when you feel a breakout coming which will help with faster relief. The only downside with this product is that it works best when you use it alongside the other Murad Acne Complex products.
Clinique Acne Solutions Spot Healing Gel $16 – The best thing about Clinique products is that it is non-abrasive and really great for even the most sensitive skin. The product will help reduce irritation and redness of breakouts and also helps to diminish its size and visibility. It is best to apply twice a day- morning and night.
Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel $15 – I love this product. Let me start with this- it is made without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs and Tricolsan. I have no clue what any of these products are, but if I can’t pronounce them then they can’t be good right? Especially on my face! This product promises to “heal, fight, and fade it fast.” What is not to love about that? I highly recommend this product if you have sensitive skin or if you want a product that is more natural.
Peter Thomas Roth Acne Spot and Area Treatment $32 – This one is more on the pricier side, but well worth it. This product is a bit more abrasive as the other ones and is meant for moderate to severe acne. This really does the job of drying out the pimple. You would apply it 1-3 times daily, as needed. It is recommended to apply once and then gradually to three times a day if needed. It can cause excessive dryness or peeling and if it does you should reduce the amount of times you apply it. This is one of those products that will definitely work, but you may want to test it on your skin first especially if you have sensitive skin.
Let me know if you have tried out any of these products and if so, which one is your favorite! If not, i would love to hear what acne spot treatment works best for you!

Yay! It’s review time! Lately I have been in a total “shopping” mode. Not sure exactly why, but I’ll blame it on the weather change. Consequences of shopping mode means more reviews that I can share with you all:)
AVON. Where do I start? I remember trying AVON in the past, but it’s one of those brands that you can’t find at the store, so if you don’t see it then you don’t really buy it. Recently a co-worker of mine became an AVON representative and I went through their catalog and I have to admit that I am pretty impressed. I feel like AVON has evolved into a more competitive brand and has really stepped up their game in all areas including product quality, formula, packaging and more.
While looking through catalog, this mascara caught my eye. This SuperSHOCK Max Mascara promises to give you 7x the volume. The brush is designed to give you maximum fullness and is supposed to coat your lashes all the way from the base to the tips. This product comes in Black and Black-Brown and also has a waterproof formula available. I purchased the waterproof Black mascara.
I have to admit that I really like this mascara. Look at that brush. It’s crazy! It is a really big brush and it does coat my lashes evenly from base to tip. I really do think that this is a very volumizing mascara. I only did 2 coats in my before and after picture, but I know that this product can definitely deliver volume with the more coats that you add. I also liked that this product did not clump my lashes while giving volume. It actually separated my lashes, which I love. Overall, this is a good mascara that I would definitely repurchase and recommend to you to try out. The product retails for $8, but the good thing about AVON is that they always have sales. I bought mine for only $4.99. Keep your eye out for mascara on AVON’s next sale.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this mascara…or any other AVON mascaras that you have tried.

October flew by so fast. I can’t believe it is already November! Excited and nervous about starting my Christmas shopping. Problem is that I always end up buying a ton of stuff for myself when I should be buying for others. Arggg. Well, I’ll stop rambling. One good thing about the month coming to an end is that I get to share with you my most loved products of October.
So let’s get started…
NYX Cosmetics Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand $4.99 – This concealer is amazing. It comes in 8 different shades and also has 3 color corrective shades as well – yellow, lavender and green. I love to use this concealer as a highlight and also under my eyes to make them really pop. The consistency of this product is so smooth and it blends perfectly. Best thing about it is that it is only $5. This is a definite must-have!
Aveeno Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes $6.50 – Makeup removing wipes are an everyday essential for me. I usually go the gym right after work and use these wipes to get most of my makeup off before my workout. Usually I am not too picky when it comes to makeup removing wipes. I have tried out so many and all of them seem about the same. All the same until I got my hands on these ones. These wipes are perfect. They are so soft and they smell great. They do the job and remove all my makeup and leave my face feeling fresh and clean.
e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit $3 – This eyebrow kit is on my list for my most-loved e.l.f. products. Enough can’t be said about this product. It is truly amazing. It comes in 4 different shades – light, medium, dark and ash. I use this eyebrow kit everyday and I just love it. I use the darker shade to outline my eyebrows and use the lighter shade to help fill them in. The consistency of the product is waxy so it is perfect for taming your hairs and keeping them in place all day. Best and most amazing thing about this product is that it is only $3! If you haven’t tried this product, I highly recommend that you do. It is truly life changing.
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner $7 – I love this eyeliner. It comes in 3 shades – black, brown and gray. I use the black eyeliner and it is amazing. This is the perfect eyeliner for the waterline. I love that it is super black and super creamy. It is so easy to apply and just glides on my waterline effortlessly. This eyeliner is also very easy to blend and perfect for smudging. It is also great for achieving a smoky eye. This product has a permanent spot in my makeup bag.
Kiehl’s Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream $42 – I have tried out a few of Kiehl’s products in the past and really loved them. I recently went to Nordstrom and stumbled across this eye cream and decided to give it a shot. Eye cream is an essential part of your every day routine. Eye creams can get pretty pricey and many people tend to forget about their eye area, but please don’t skimp on this. Normal continuous use of eye cream can really make a different overtime. As I am getting older, I have been looking into more wrinkle reducing and anti-aging products. Better to start sooner then later right?! My skin gets really dry around this season and believe it or not even the skin around my eyes gets super dry and flaky. I love this product because if feels so rich and creamy. It is super moisturizing, has a great smell and leaves my eye area feeling very fresh and hydrated. I would definitely recommend this product if you are in the market for a good eye cream.
Lush’s Handy Gurugu Hand Cream $18.95 – I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I really do have dry skin. Especially my hands. Sometimes my hands get so dry that they tend to crack and omg it hurts so bad. I can apply and re-apply lotion and sometimes it will really do me no good. But this product really does the job when my hands are super dry. The product seems to really seep in my skin and it really does make my hands instantly feel smooth and velvety. The cream coats my hands perfectly and doesn’t leave me with that really oily residue. One warning though, the smell of this product is “different”. I don’t hate the smell of this product, but I don’t love it either. To be honest, the smell doesn’t really bother me, but it does bother my boyfriend. So if you are sensitive to smell I would recommend trying it out first before purchasing. Also, this hand cream is not ideal for you to carry around in your purse. The packaging is pretty bulky. I usually use this one at nighttime, but this is hand cream is ideal for the house or office.
I would love to hear what your October Favorites are or if you have tried out any of these products.

For the longest time I have only used gel eyeliner, but I must have turned a new leaf this year because I am absolutely in LOVE with felt tip eyeliners. I just find it much easier to apply and I feel like I have a lot more control using a felt tip eyeliner. I am also able to do really precise, clean lines and this type of eyeliner really helps you create an amazing cat eye. Since my revelation, I am constantly on the hunt for new felt tip eyeliners.
I recently purchased the Penultimate Eye Liner from MAC Cosmetics. I had really high hopes for this eyeliner since MAC usually delivers great products. This product retails for $19.50 and comes in one shade – Rapid Black.
Below is a picture of the tip and also swatches of the eyeliner-
I hate to say it, but I would definitely pass on this product. This pen dries out soooo fast. I bought this in September and within a few weeks it was already dried out. I was also disappointed by its pigmentation. I like my eyeliner to be super black, but I just don’t think this eyeliner was black enough. I also like the “wet” look that felt tip eyeliners usually give, but this didn’t do any of that. The application of this eyeliner was also pretty challenging. It just was not smooth whatsoever. You really had to go over the line a few times in order to fill in all the gaps and also to make the liner as black as I like. Yes, PASS please.
Let me know if you have tried this liner and your thoughts on it.

I just love gift with purchase deals. Clinique is one brand that always has these kinds of deals. The best thing about Clinique is they really do NOT skimp on the quality of the free gift. They always have a super cute makeup bag and good size mini versions of some of their most popular and also new products.
I recently went to Macy’s to purchase my ultimate favorite Clinique product – Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and when I went to the counter I noticed that there was a free gift with any $25 Clinique purchase. Score, right?
Yes, so here is the skinny on the free gift…
– Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+
– Moisture Surge Intense
– Eye Shadow Quad (you can chose Violets or Nudes)
– Chubby Lip (you can choose Violets or Nudes)
– Two Makeup Bags (small and large)
I am a big sucker for purple and violets so I chose the violet quad and stick. Here are swatches for you –
I just love the pigmentation of the eye shadows. They are so velvety and smooth. This is a perfect quad to with your traveling or just to stick in your makeup bag.
Please don’t sleep any of Clinique’s free gift with purchase deals. It is soooo worth it. Here is a link of the current Clinique gift with purchases deals at Macys. I am thinking of purchasing more Clinique products so I can get in on other gifts with purchase they have.
If you already have this gift, I would love to know which one you chose or if you don’t I would love to hear about your favorite gift with purchase deal that you came across.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Did I say I LOVE these colors?! All of the colors on this report scream Fall!
It is said best by the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, “The fall 2013 palette allows for versatility and experimentation.”
All of these colors are bold enough to be worn alone or better yet these colors mixed together will really make you stand out, in a good way that is:) I challenge you to venture out of your comfort zone this season and try mixing up your wardrobe with a few of these colors and see what you come up with.
For inspiration, check out some of sketches for wearing this color palette.
Amazing right?! I can’t wait to get some outfit ideas ready for you and better yet, what way to showcase these colors than through makeup?! Very excited to find some great beauty products with this color scheme. Stay tuned.

Matte Skin is in for Fall! As all of you know, Fall Beauty has consisted of a bold, intense lip. What better to accompany a bold lip then with shine free skin that looks sooooo natural that it looks like you aren’t wearing makeup at all.
Here is a complete guide to achieving matte skin as well as the products that will get you there.
1. Use a non-greasy moisturizer. If you have oily skin, try using a gel moisturizer as it is more mattifying.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel- $26 – Gel is always a better formula to use if you are more on the oily side. This particular gel moisturizer is oil-free and is made specifically for combination and oily skin.
2. Use a mattifying primer and apply it evenly on your face.
Benefit POREfessional $30 – Primer is great for making your makeup stay put all day. Especially if you have oily skin, primer will help the longevity of your makeup. Benefit’s POREfessional not only makes your skin a smooth surface to apply flawless makeup, but it is also oil free and contains Vitamin E that will help protect your skin.
3. Choose an oil free foundation
MAKE UP FOR EVER Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation $36 – You can chose your favorite oil-free foundation, but this is one of my favs! This foundation is oil free, water resistant, controls shine and provides full coverage. This is a liquid foundation, but provides a powder finish. This foundation really helps you have a flawless face all day.
4. Use a beauty blender, foundation brush or stippling brush. Make sure to nicely blend the foundation in order to achieve a streak-free, flawless finish.
Beauty Blender $20 – The beauty blender is perfect for applying streak free foundation. With the beauty blender you can easily achieve light coverage foundation all the way to full coverage. The beauty blender lives up to its name and blends perfectly. It really is the key to achieving a flawless face.
5. Apply concealer in any areas where there are imperfections or redness.
MAC Cosmetics Studio Finish SPF 30 Concealer $18 – This is my favorite concealer for imperfections and redness, but you can use whatever concealer works best for you.
6. Use a large powder brush to apply translucent powder all over your face to set your makeup and also to eliminate shine.
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder $35 – One of the key components to a matte face is making sure that your powder well. Powder is the best trick for “quick mattification” (btw, I just made up that word), but yes it is true. Powder soaks up any moisture that is left on your skin and will also help to make sure that your makeup stays put and lasts longer. My favorite setting powder is from Laura Mercier. Always use a translucent powder to set as it is best for creating a more natural look. This powder is an oil free, non-comedogenic product that never creates caking or creasing.
I hope this helps you in achieving Matte Skin that is perfect for Fall. I would love to hear what your favorite products for achieving matte skin.
